John C. Cain, a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a chief petty officer and hospital corpsman, died Sept. 19, 2025.
He was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Cain. He is survived by his siblings Patrick M. Cain, Mary Ann (Joseph) Evers, Kathy (Neil) Brown and Edward (Dawn) Cain, and was preceded in death by Thomas E. (Kay) Cain. He was the uncle of many nieces and nephews, including great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Cain worked for many years at Abbott Laboratories and was a member of the Marvin Zeman American Legion Post #1112.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., Justice. Visitation continues at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, until a 10 a.m. service celebrating his life. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
