On September 10, at 5:50 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Jose Luis Paramo, 46, from Chicago. Paramo was charged with operating a vehicle with suspended registration for non-insurance, transportation or possession of open alcohol by driver, and driving while his license is revoked/suspended for DUI second offense. During the arrest officers learned he had a warrant for failure to appear in a DUI case. He was subsequently transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility for further processing on the warrant.
On September 11, at 8:29 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Michael Binderup, 52, of Pico Rivera, California. Binderup was charged with operating a vehicle with suspended registration for non-insurance and driving while his license is suspended. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On September 13, at 4:34 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 25700 block of S. McCorkle Avenue, in reference to a domestic battery. Upon arrival, they were met by the female victim, who said her child’s father came home intoxicated, which led to a violent encounter. She was hit on the head and choked as she attempted to separate herself from him. Fabiyi Falana, 41, from Monee, was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic battery “strangulation,” domestic battery, and interference with reporting violence. During the encounter Falana tried to take her phone to prevent her from calling 911. He was subsequently taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
