A big crowd of hungry residents and friends attended the 17th annual community picnic hosted by the Village of McCook and the McCook Park District at The MAX on Sept. 12.
There was plenty to eat and drink along with games for kids. Included was a popular portable climbing rock. A deejay played music and bingo games were played.
While the food and the event were free, those attending were asked to bring desserts to share.
The picnic ran from 1 to 9 p.m. It was held indoors in case of inclement weather.
