Jamaal Stevens

Jamaal Stevens, 27, was arrested July 8 and charged with residential burglary and theft, police said.

Oak Lawn police were dispatched to a home invasion call shortly after 2 p.m. on May 7 in the area of 90th Street and Sproat Avenue.

The homeowner told police that two masked men forced entry to his rear door and he confronted them.  One of the men pointed a handgun at the homeowner before the two assailants fled with proceeds from the home.  The men fled in a newer black Ford Ranger. The homeowner was not hurt.

The Ford Ranger involved in the incident has been located and Oak Lawn police are in the process of seizing it through the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Asset Forfeiture Unit.

Gause’s next court date is set for September 22 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
