Steven F. “Steve” Zabelka Sr., son of the late George and Virginia Zabelka, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, after a long battle with dementia.
Steve was a skilled truck driver who took pride in his work. He was a devoted White Sox fan and loved his dogs, Gizzy and Brinkley, who brought him great joy.
He is survived by his children, Gina and Steve Jr.; his beloved granddaughters, Jasmyn and Jaden; and his siblings, Ed, Chuck, Bill, Lori, and Barb.
Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois. Funeral service and time of remembrance will be Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
