On August 27, at 6:17 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Dearius Young, 29, from Calumet City. Young was charged with following too closely and driving while his license is revoked. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On August 29, at 12:32 a.m., an officer conducted a security check of a business and discovered a vehicle blocking the handicapped parking space. Further investigation revealed the driver, Aari Johnson, 22, from Country Club Hills, was wanted for theft and had no bond warrant. He received a ticket for blocking a handicapped parking spot and was transported to the Will County Detention Facility for further processing on the warrant.
On September 1, at 1:13 a.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Vianey Gonzalez, 25, of Woodridge. Gonzalez was charged with speeding over posted limit and driving while her license is suspended. She was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On September 3, at 5:35 p.m., a domestic dispute resulted in a request from the female victim to retrieve personal belongings from the vehicle involved. Officers started to get the items, as they contacted the male involved. While officers were speaking to him, they observed resealable bags, commonly used to place cannabis or other drugs in, hanging out of the front pocket of Mikal Holloway, a 22-year-old Park Forest resident. Upon further investigation officers discovered 184 grams of individually packaged cannabis and 2 grams of meth amphetamines. Holloway was charged with driving while his license was suspended, possession of a controlled substance, and attempt to manufacture/deliver cannabis-more than 30 grams but not more than 500. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On September 5, at 2:42 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Malcolm McNeal, 53, from Chicago. McNeal was charged with operating a vehicle with suspended registration and driving while his license was expired more than a year. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
