Chicago Ridge is rolling out the welcome mat for its first-ever Community Resource Fair, set for Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at Chicago Ridge Village Hall, 10455 S. Ridgeland Ave.
The free event, hosted by the Village of Chicago Ridge and presented by Pathlights, will bring together more than 40 vendors offering a wide range of services and support for residents of all ages.
Attendees can take advantage of free vision and hearing screenings, as well as vaccinations for flu, shingles, COVID, RSV and more. Representatives from the Cook County Treasurer’s Office will also be on hand to help residents search for unclaimed money. In addition, healthcare information, legal support, and many other resources will be available to connect community members with vital services.
Organizers are encouraging visitors to bring nonperishable food donations for Our Lady of the Ridge Food Pantry, underscoring the event’s mission of neighbors helping neighbors. Raffle prizes will also be up for grabs throughout the morning.
This is about bringing resources directly to the people of Chicago Ridge in a way that’s accessible, engaging, and fun, organizers said.
The Chicago Ridge Community Resource Fair promises to be both informative and enjoyable, with dozens of local organizations standing ready to serve.
