Doughs Guys Bakery turned 10 on Wednesday, and the celebration was as sweet as the frosting on their cupcakes.

To celebrate the big day, Doughs Guys offered free mini cupcakes to every customer who stopped by.

The bakery also kicked off a special Bingo promotion that runs through November. Customers get a Bingo card for every $10 purchase, and if they complete a Bingo by buying the items listed, they earn $10 off their next purchase.

Doughs Guys Bakery first opened in Chicago Ridge before relocating to Palos Heights in 2015, where it quickly became a go-to spot for delicious doughnuts, pastries and custom cakes.

Sharon O’Neill, who owns the bakery and lives in Homer Glen, said the years have flown by faster than she ever imagined.

Sharon took over the business after the passing of her husband and the bakery’s founder, Sean O’Neill, in April 2023. Sean, who moved the bakery from Chicago Ridge to Palos Heights, helped shape its identity as a popular local favorite before losing his battle with cancer.

“It does not feel like 10 years have passed since we first opened,” Sharon said. “I love Palos Heights. It’s really one big friendly community where everyone knows everyone.”

Store manager Annette Cramer, who has worked at the bakery for 12 years, said the milestone is a proud moment for the entire team.

“The time flew by,” Cramer said. “We’ve seen so many loyal customers come back year after year, and it really feels like one big family.”

Sharon said the anniversary is not just about the business but about the people who have supported it along the way.

“This anniversary is all about celebrating our customers and this community,” she said. “We wouldn’t be here without their support.”
