Our hearts are broken to announce the passing of Brenda Lee Martinez on Monday, August 11, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. A lifelong resident of Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, Brenda Lee will be remembered as a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends deeply and cherished the many good times they shared.
She was the loving mother of Raymond (Jessica), Jesse, Paul (Maribel), Johnny, Kevin, and Matthew; dear grandmother of Mia, Nayelee, Nathan, Jesse, Johnny, Giovanni, Naomi, and Ray; and great-grandmother of Elena. Brenda Lee was the beloved daughter of Rose Ann and Javier, and the dear sister of Diane (late Hector), Robert (Valarie), Rose, Javier, and the late Judy. She was also a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem). Visitation continues Saturday, August 23, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Procession will follow to Beverly Cemetery for interment.
