On July 31, at approximately 11:35 p.m., deputies with the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Channahon Police Department and other agencies in an active vehicle pursuit involving a wanted fugitive.
During the course of the pursuit, the suspect’s vehicle struck a Will County Sheriff’s patrol car – occupied by a deputy – in the parking lot of a gas station in the 3000 block of Plainfield Road in Joliet. The deputy was unharmed.
