A 17-year-old juvenile was charged last week with first-degree murder in a shooting in the West Lawn community, police said.
The teen was arrested at 12:23 a.m. on July 24 in the 6800 block of South Pulaski Road less than an hour after he allegedly shot and killed an 18-year-old man in the 7200 block of South Avers Avenue, police said.
A 15-year-old was also shot and injured in the shooting, police said.
The 17-year-old was charged with one count of first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm, police said.
Police said a group of five people was walking when at least two of them pulled out guns and fired shots at the two victims.
Police said two guns were recovered from the scene.
