On June 20, Tamika Murray, 32, of Chicago, was stopped for having only one working headlight and found to have a driver’s license expired since 2020. She was issued citations for both offenses and for having no insurance, then released on a notice-to-appear.
On June 28, Marquise Taylor, 29, of Chicago Heights, was stopped for having an electronic device in his hand while driving and was issued a citation for that, as well as for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and a local ordinance citation for possessing a taser. He was released on a notice-to-appear.
On July 1, Shelly Becker, 55, of Grant Park, was stopped for a vehicle equipment violation and found to have a suspended driver’s license. She was issued citations for both violations, provided a notice-to-appear, and released.
On July 3, Raldo Rojas Ventura, 45, of Chicago, was stopped for failure to dim bright lights and found to have never had a driver’s license. He was issued citations for both offenses, as well as for having a vehicle registration suspended, then released on a notice-to-appear.
On July 4, Dwayne Shields, 64, of Beecher, was stopped for improper backing and arrested for DUI. He was charged and released on a notice-to-appear.
On July 6, Thomas Gifford, 60, of Beecher, was stopped for having only one working headlight and was issued a warning for that violation and citations for having no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a notice-to-appear.
On July 7, Francisco Veloz was stopped for not wearing a seat belt and was issued a citation for that and possession of cannabis by a driver. He was released on a notice-to-appear.
