Aniela Kowalkowska (née Dziaba), age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 11, 2025.

She was the former wife of the late Jozef Kowalkowski and the devoted mother of Christine (Albert) Jaroch, the late Frank Kowalkowski, Albert Kowalkowski, the late Mitchell Kowalkowski, and Bernadette (Stanley) Knup.

Aniela was the cherished grandmother of Natasia (Ziggy) Naguszewski, Arthur (Julia) Jaroch, Sabrina Jaroch (Yuriy Khlopas), Emily Knup, Frankie Kowalkowski, Angelica Kowalkowski, Matthew Kowalkowski, Nina Kowalkowski, and Marin Kowalkowski. She was the proud great-grandmother of Zofia Naguszewski, Izabella Naguszewski, and Leonardo Jaroch.

She was the loving daughter of the late Anna (née Gorz) and the late Wojciech Dziaba, and the dear sister of the late Jozefa (the late Bronislaw) Rocha, the late Antoni (the late Stanislawa) Dziaba, and the late Andrzej (the late Maria) Dziaba.

Aniela is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever loved in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sheldon-Goglin-Kaminski Funeral Home, 5935 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago.

Funeral services will begin with prayers at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at the funeral home, followed by a procession to Saint Francis Borgia Church, 8033 W. Addison St., Chicago, for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will follow at Saint Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
