A new option for fast, fresh Mexican food is drawing steady crowds to the Chicago Ridge Mall food court.
Cilantro Taco Grill opened on Saturday, June 21, at 444 Ridgeland Ave. in Chicago Ridge.
It’s the latest addition to the mall’s dining lineup and the first indoor mall location for the family-owned Mexican restaurant chain.

The menu features street food staples made to order — including tacos, burritos, tortas, taco salads and the restaurant’s signature “belly bowl,” a layered dish of rice, beans, meat and toppings. Dinner platters and kid-friendly “fiesta boxes” are also available. Each box comes with one taco or cheese quesadilla, served with rice and beans or fries, plus a water bottle or juice box.
Employees at the Chicago Ridge location said the restaurant has seen a steady stream of customers since opening day.
Cilantro Taco Grill is known for using slow-cooked meats and fresh salsas prepared daily. The Chicago Ridge restaurant joins more than 20 other locations across the region, including in the South Loop, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Avondale, Rosemont, Stone Park, Northlake, Wheeling, Elmhurst, and Schaumburg. The chain also operates in Glen Ellyn, Romeoville, Lake Zurich, Bloomingdale, Yorktown, Elgin, Crystal Lake, Sugar Grove and Prosper, as well as out-of-state locations in Milwaukee and Bensenville.
