Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and financial professional
Louise Marianne Fragassi Murawski, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and longtime financial planner, died peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was 92.
Known to many as “Lu Babe,” Mrs. Murawski was married to Thaddeus “Ted” M. Murawski for 72 years. Together, they raised five children: Ronalie Murawski, Mike Murawski (Joan-An), Natalie Murawski-Schuch (John), Tim Murawski (Alaina), and Juliette Fry.
She was a proud grandmother to Mike Murawski II (Natalie), Tiffany Murawski, Tatum Louise Fry, Palmer Fry and Thatcher Fry.
Born in 1933, Mrs. Murawski graduated from Mercy High School of Chicago in 1952 and went on to build a career as a licensed financial planner and insurance agent and broker, working nearly 50 years in the field. She was known for her integrity, intelligence and commitment to her clients.
A lifelong music lover, she studied classical piano as a child and remained passionate about music throughout her life, embracing everything from opera to rock and roll. She sang in the choirs at Sacred Heart Parish in Palos Hills and St. Patricia Parish in Hickory Hills.
Mrs. Murawski was also a longtime member of the Oak Lawn Business & Professional Women’s Club, where she advocated for women’s leadership and community service. She was an enthusiastic Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, known for her loyalty and high-spirited support.
She was remembered by family as charismatic and generous — a vibrant storyteller whose joy often came through meals, baked goods, and constant encouragement to those around her.
