Jaime Ruiz died on Saturday, May 24, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Jovelle (née Smith), and the loving father of Serena Ruiz, Ellia Larrea, and Damian Larrea. He was a proud grandfather to Ellianna Laporta.
Jaime was the cherished son of Francisco and Estela Ruiz, and the dear brother of Oscar (Martha) Ruiz. He was a fond uncle to Caroline, Oscar, and Leonardo Ruiz.
Known for his devotion to family, Jaime leaves behind a legacy of love and connection that will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem). Visitation continues Saturday at 9 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 a.m., followed by a procession to St. Mary Cemetery for burial.
