On Wednesday, April 30, Manteno Police, while patrolling the area of Walnut and Fifth Streets, witnessed a female subject riding a bike, who the officer believed was to have a warrant issued in her name. After confirming warrant information, the suspect was stopped and placed into custody. In searching the suspect’s backpack, the officer found items consistent with drugs, including: Suspected methamphetamine, less than a gram; a clear pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue; a vial with suspected methamphetamine residue; a jar containing suspected cannabis, plus a lighter and pipe used for suspected cannabis.
The suspect was transported to JCDC for the extraditable Cook County warrant, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.
