It’s always a good idea to have a rear and front license plate.
Not having a front license plate resulted in a man being cited for seven offenses by Justice police.
An officer on patrol at 84th Street and Roberts Road around 1:30 p.m. April 13 noticed a northbound car lacked a front license plate.
He pulled the car over in the 8000 block of Roberts Road and noticed a large brightly-colored bong in the map holder of the driver’s door, police said.
He also saw a box of fireworks – one-inch mortar shells – on the backseat where the man’s infant son was in a car seat, police said.
A 14-year-old boy in the car had in his possession two electronic devices used to smoke cannabis, police said.
The driver, a 20-year-old man, has been charged with unlawful possession of fireworks, endangering the health and safety of a child, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, driving on a suspended registration, having tinted windows, not having a front license plate and driving without insurance, police said.
His 14-year-old passenger was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and resisting a peace officer, police said.
