For the third year, the library has its Community Mitten Tree up at and is collecting hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves for all ages through December 13. A local organization, Angels on Assignment, will then distribute them to families in need. The Angels also sponsor a toy collection, so this is an add-on to that.

Love on a Leash, from 11 a.m. – noon, for families: Snuggle up and read to a pup! The dogs from Love on a Leash will be visiting to spend one-on-one time reading with you. Register.
Swiftie Par-tay, from 2 – 3 p.m., for families: Are you…ready for it? Drop everything now and meet us at the Swiftie Par-TAY! The group will make friendship bracelets, take a moment and taste it with Taylor-themed treats, including some of Taylor’s own recipes, and ask you a question…? or 13 during Trivia (Taylor’s Version). Taylor-themed outfits and Eras Tour costumes are highly encouraged so the whole place will shimmer. Register.

SNAP Help, from 1 – 4 p.m., adults: A SNAP Outreach Case Manager from Respond Now will assist people with the Illinois Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as Food Stamps or Link Card. First come, first served. Sign-in upon arrival.
Let’s LEGO, from 6 – 7 p.m., Grades K/fifth: Each month, we have a new LEGO building challenge to complete and put on display in the library. Drop-in.

STEAM Tweens – Sleigh Away, from 6 – 7 p.m., Grades third/fifth: It’s the time of year when lots of gifts and items need to be carried over the snow to their destinations, so a good sleigh design is crucial! Join us as we design our own sleds to deliver our packages over the snow. Register
