On September 24, at approximately 5:44 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Mauricio Garcia-Castro, 28, of Chicago Heights, for no valid driver’s license after being stopped for a registration violation. Garcia-Castro was cited and released on a notice-to-appear.
On September 25, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of W. Monee-Manhattan Road and S. Egyptian Trail to investigate a “rolling domestic dispute” involving a black vehicle. The witness reported to dispatch the vehicle allegedly almost ran a red light and, when the vehicle stopped, a woman exited and began walking away. Officers found the vehicle involved and made the stop in the 5700 block of W. Monee-Monee Road. Officers spoke to the driver, Donald J. Hummel, 39, of Hammond, who denied anything had happened. The female involved was located, and she denied knowing Donald and said nothing had happened. Neither party involved sustained any injuries and did not request police assistance. It was later learned by officers that Hummel had a suspended driver’s license and a non-extraditable warrant for DUI out of Indiana. Hummel was cited and released
On September 26, at approximately 10:01 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Mauricio Garcia-Castro, 28, of Chicago Heights, for no valid driver’s license after being stopped for a registration violation. Garcia-Castro was cited and released on a notice-to-appear.
On September 26, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in Marquis C. Stephens, 45, of Chicago, for driving while license suspended after being stopped for a registration violation. Stephens was cited and released on a notice-to-appear.
