At their meeting on Monday, September 23, Bradley Village Board Trustees approved a package of raises for the mayor, themselves, and the village clerk, but the raises won’t take effect until May 1, 2027. Pay for the mayor of Bradley will go from the current $12,000 annually to $18,000. Each of the six trustees on the village board will see their individual pay go from the current $4,800 to $7,200 annually. The village clerk’s pay will go from the current $8,100 to $11,200 per year.  Mayor Mike Watson said the last time the group received an increase in pay was in 1985.
In other business, the board approved a resolution seeking a grant of $856,000 for a multi-use path along Larry Power Road from Rt. 50 to Cardinal Drive. The project would require Bradley to put up $214,240 in matching funds.
Mayor Mike Watson announced Bradley property owners can begin submitting applications on October 1 for a 100 percent rebate of the village portion of their property tax bill this year.  Information on the rebate can be found on the Bradley website at bradleyil.org.
