Thank you to all the sponsors, participants and volunteers who made the inaugural Roger Bunte Scholarship Golf Outing a huge success. The event was held Saturday, September 14, at Cardinal Creek Golf Course in Beecher, with an After Party, including dinner, prizes and a raffle, held at the Peotone American Legion.
The goal was to establish a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded each year to a college-bound Peotone High School senior majoring in Agriculture or Agriculture Business. The first $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in May 2025.
Roger was a 1968 graduate of Peotone High School and a lifelong farmer. He passed away in October 2023.
