On Tuesday, September 3, the Peotone Varsity Volleyball Team lost to Manteno – 23-25, 25-14, 16-25.
Peotone controlled the first set early on but could not find a way to close the game. The Lady Devils then came out aggressively in the second set and completely dominated Manteno. Peotone fell short in the third set, due to just too many unforced errors. Leading the attack for the Blue Devils was Mia Connolley, with 11 kills and 4 aces. Cora Pagliarulo added 4 kills, while Alyssa Lattz and Payton Schnelle each chipped in 3 kills. Allie Werner had 18 assists and 5 digs, and Ella Stupegia led the defense with 12 digs. The Devils are 1-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
One September 5, Peotone varsity lost to Coal City 25-20, 19-25, 23-25. Allie Werner had 17 assists. Mia Connolley had 13 kills. Payton Schnelle had 3 blocks, 1 kill, and Ella Stupegia had 16 digs.
