Worldwide Knit in Public Day, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., adults/teens: All fiber artists are invited to work on their knitting, crocheting, embroidery, or needlepoint projects at the library as part of this annual event. We will have a prize drawing and light refreshments will be served. Please bring a lawn chair to this outdoor event. In case of rain, the event will be moved indoors. Register.
Our Flag Means Fun, from 1 – 2 p.m., ages six/12: Join us as we learn about the meaning behind pirate flag colors and symbols, discover some flags flown by famous pirates of the past, and create our very own flags. Register.

Pirate Tales: The Adventure of a Lifetime, from 2 – 2:45 p.m., for families with children of all ages: Join the charismatic Captain Taffy on a swashbuckling journey as you listen to rollicking pirate stories from around the world! Register.

Tommy Tew’s Theatre Crew, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., ages seven/12: Have you ever wanted to be the star of your own show? Do you wish you could be a pirate, sailing the seas and seeking adventure? At this theater program, you can do both! Join us as we create our crew, write our very own pirate stories, make costumes and sets, and perform plays for friends and family!
