Linda Sue Ward (Tenbrock), of Peotone and formerly of Riverdale, passed away on April 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving daughters, at the age of 70. Born on June 9, 1953, to Charles and Dorothy, she was the oldest of four children. She was a beloved figure of Peotone, having worked in town throughout most of her years at various businesses and never worked a job where she didn’t make a lifelong friend.

Linda had a multitude of passions throughout her life. She loved to create what she would call “holiday magic” for her family, spend countless hours in her kitchen, work outside in her yard and garden, and tend to her beloved animals – Bane (pug), Momma Doll (cat), Ike, Tina, Bud, and Sissy (pond Koi).

Linda had a knack for creating holiday traditions, and she took great joy in preparing for them. Her biggest goal was to pass holiday traditions along to her family, as a means to keep her “eternal light” lit. Above all, Linda cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren and creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles, and her sister, Lori Barker. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be carried on by her loving children, Erin Ward, Jaime (David) Munsterman, and Jeff Ward; mother, Dorothy Gregory; cherished grandchildren, Christian and Elise Munsterman; ex-husband, Bill Ward; sisters, Dorothy Bouquet and Donna Kaptain; and best and closest friends, Linda Griffy and Cassy Brinkman.

Services will be private, but Linda’s spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. Share a memory at http://www.feddehelfrichcrosfh.com.
