The Bobcats came out swinging in the first game of the doubleheader on Tuesday, April 23, against the Illinois Lutheran Chargers, scoring 7 runs in the first inning alone in the 16-0 win.
They were led by Ava Lorenzatti, who went 3-4 and had 4 RBIs. Liliana Irwin was 2-3, with 4 RBIs, Taylor Norkus, went 2-3 and had 2 runs batted in, while Abby Papas, with a perfect 3-3 had 1 RBI. Ava Lorenzatti went the distance, giving up only 1 hit, while striking out 12.
The second game was no different. The Lady Bobcats were led by Alexa Gliva, who was 2-2, with 3 RBIs. Other Lady Bobcats pitching in were Liliana Irwin and Ava Olson, who both were 1-3 with 1 RBI, and Emma Tiltges, who was 1-2, with 1 run batted in. Taylor Norkus was credited with the win and a no hitter, which included 13 strikeouts.
