The University of Alabama honored the achievement of numerous students, faculty, and staff during the annual Tapping on the Mound ceremony April 5. Congratulations to Kalie Korpitz, of Manhattan, who was inducted in the UA Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society.

Trine University’s Department of Humanities and Communication Department recognized its outstanding students during a ceremony in Wells Theater on April 18. The Golden Microphone Award, given for excellence in media production, was presented to Nicholas Woolley, a communication major from Shorewood, and Matthew Stillman, a communication major from New Lenox.

The University of Mount Union, in Ohio, recently held its Senior Recognition and Honors Convocation, when Shawna Gordon, of Manhattan, was awarded the Mary Evelyn Cook Weber Prize. This prize is awarded to an outstanding junior art major. Each year, the convocation honors graduating seniors and underclass students who have excelled academically, displayed excellent leadership skills, and shown dedication to the university and community through outstanding community service initiatives.
