On Monday, April 15, the Bobcats faced conference rival Grant Park, which resulted in a commanding 13-3 victory for Beecher, although the game started off tight. Both teams scored in the first inning, with the Bobcats taking a 5-3 lead. After that it was all Bobcats. Nathan Diachenko, who was 2-3 with 4 RBIs, topped off the day with his first home run of the season. Nolan Lane, going 2-5, also tallied 2 RBIs. Brian Wolke went the distance, giving up 3 runs, with 5 hits and 5 strikeouts. On the day, the Bobcats were able to score 13 runs on only 8 hits. Each team committed 2 errors.
Tuesday, April 16, Bobcat bats again were on fire, as they trounced St. Anne, 18-3, in front of the home fans. The team scored 18 runs on 14 hits, while keeping St. Anne to 3 runs on 2 hits. Chase Maher had big day at the plate, with three hits and four RBIs. Ryan Cruz and Nolen Lane each had two hits, as well. Lane earned the victory, allowing only 1 earned run.
Thursday, April 18, Beecher traveled to St. Anne, with the Bobcats winning again, 5 – 4, in seven innings. Tied 4-4 after 5 innings, Beecher took the lead in the top of the seventh on a Quinton Allen RBI double. Allen also homered earlier in the game. A.J. Snell earned the victory, striking out 8 cardinals in three innings. Snell also added two hits in the win.
Beecher ended their week of play as they took on the Bearcats in Milford and brought home a 10-4 victory – their fourth of the week. Trevor Stout had a big day on the mound and allowed only 2 earned runs in 6 innings of work. Quinton Allen had a three-hit day, while A.J. Snell, Clayton McKnight, and Stout each recorded two hits in the win.
Currently, the Bobcats are 10-7 overall and 5-1 in the RVC.
