Rachel Annette Fox, 36, of Peotone, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Born in Chicago on October 4, 1987, she was the daughter of James Allan Sr. and Donna (nee Schwer) Fox.

Rachel was a Peotone High School graduate, Class of 2006, graduated from Elim Bible Institute in 2010, and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beecher. She was an avid movie watcher and loved playing games with her family. Rachel was a very quiet person, who had a fantastic sense of humor but was always brutally honest. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Fox; sister, Renée Fox Weaver (Kyle); nephew, Lucas Weaver; maternal grandmother, Annette Schwer (Dennis); aunts and uncles, Darlene and Ronald Dymerski, Linda Cook, Mary Schwer, and Pam and Rich Bruns; cousins – who were her best friends, Donald Roy Schwer III (Laura), Anjanette Vaughan (Marc), Ryan Schwer (Christina), Erica Ewald (Ryan), Arianna Wiegmann (Zach), Deanna Rodriguez (Alex), Maureen Schwer (Josh), Ronald Dymerski Jr., and Samantha Griffin (Shane); and her companion dog, Kita.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, James Allan Fox Sr.; a brother, James Allan Fox Jr.; paternal grandparents, Jim and Virginia Fox; maternal grandfather, Donald Roy Schwer Sr.; and uncles, Donald Roy Schwer Jr. and Donald Cook.

Funeral services were held on April 13, at Peace Lutheran Church, in Beecher, with Rev. Michael Stein officiating, and burial at Peotone Cemetery.
