The Kankakee County Museum, 801 South Eighth Avenue in Kankakee, is excited to host this new opportunity featuring local children’s book author Kathy Gates, for an hour-long program that includes a book reading and keepsake activity. During the story and craft hour, children will learn the importance of one’s family tree and that each child is special and unique.
The program, for children ages five-to-10 years of age, will be held on Saturday, March 23, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the museum, and features Kathy’s book, entitled “Three Colors of Katie.”
Space is limited so registration is required and may be made by calling the Kankakee County Museum at 815-932-5279, or online at www.kankakeecountymuseum.com. Program fee is $7 cash, due to the presenter upon arrival. Parents/guardians must stay with their children for the duration of the program.
