Mimic the Masters – Teen Art Club, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., grades sixth/12th: Carl Fabergé was a master Goldsmith to Czars Alexander III and Nicholas II of Russia. In this art lesson, the group will create a Fabergé Easter Egg similar to ones given as Easter gifts to the Empresses, who were the Czars’ wives. Register.

In this online class, presenter Kristyn Slick will guide participants, from prepping ingredients, to cooking each step until the dishes are completed and plated. Ruth E. Carter – Interweaving Tradition and Imagination Through Costume Design, from 7 – 8 p.m., Zoom, adults: Join us online for a special event with Ruth E. Carter, the first Black person to win an Oscar (let alone two!) for Best Costume Design. She won her first Academy Award for the movie “Black Panther” and the second for its sequel, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Carter will be joined in conversation with Aisha Harris, co-host of NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour and author of “Wannabe.” This event is made possible by Illinois Libraries Present (ILP), a statewide collaboration among public libraries offering premier events.
