ORLAND PARK

Assault

Eushauna Dotson-Powell, 19, of Chicago, was arrested on Feb. 11 and charged with assault at Warren Barr, 14601 John Humphrey Dr. Police said she was screaming, cussing and spitting at staff. She was given a lifetime ban at Warren Barr and had a March 5 court date scheduled at the Orland Park Civic Center.

DUI

Mark Wilczak, 54, of Diamond, was arrested on Feb. 12 and charged with driving under the influence at Arby’s, 15765 Harlem Ave. He has a court date of April 3 in Bridgeview.

Possession of Stolen Property

Domonique Pitts-Haywood, 39, and Katera D. Turner, both of Chicago, were arrested on Feb. 13 and charged with possession of stolen property at Kohls, 3 Orland Park Place. They both had a court date of March 26 scheduled at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Shirisha Kommu, 42, of Matteson, was arrested on Feb. 2 and charged with driving under the influence and four other offenses on 153^rd St. She had a March 24 court date in Bridgeview scheduled.

Retail theft

John Petreikis, 32, of Sauk Village, was arrested on Feb. 14 and charged with retail theft at Jewel Food Store, 9350 W. 159^th St. He has a March 26 court date scheduled at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Aneisha L. Collins, 21, of Crete, was arrested on Feb. 16 and charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 4 Orland Square Dr. She was cited and given a one-year no-trespass warning from the Orland Square Mall and a lifetime no-trespass warning from Von Maur.

Recardo Darnell Nash, 20, of Cincinnati, was arrested on Feb. 18 and charged with retail theft at Home Depot, 7300 W. 159^th St. Police said he was wearing a large, puffy jacket that concealed multiple breaker fuses. He had a court date scheduled for March 5 at the Orland Park Civic Center.

Yasmin Sada, 43, of Chicago, was arrested on Feb. 25 and charged with retail theft at Sephora, 730 Orland Square Dr. She was cited and fined $500 or had an optional hearing date of April 2 scheduled at the Orland Park Civic Center.

Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Kalisha C. Lockhart, 40, of Blue Island, was arrested on Feb. 16 and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon at the 15800 block of LaGrange Road. She had a court appearance scheduled for Feb. 17 at 26^th and California in Chicago.

PALOS HEIGHTS

Suspended Driver’s License

A 23-year-old Palos Park man was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at 8:22 a.m. March 2 at 131st Street and 80th Avenue, police said.

Josiah Lopez, of the 13200 block of 104^th Avenue, was also charged with driving with expired registration.

A Palos Hills man was arrested after he was stopped in the 11900 block of South Harlem Avenue at 11:56 p.m. on February 26, police said.

Police said Ryan Egan, 31, of the 20 block of Cour Montreal, was stopped due to the registered owner of the vehicle having a suspended license. Egan was found to be the registered owner, and he was arrested for driving while license suspended.

He was also charged with driving without proof of insurance.

His court date was set for March 25 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

CHICAGO RIDGE

Suspended license

Hassan Mujtaba H. Alkhattab, 18, of Orland Park, was charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at 10:17 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 10300 block of Southwest Highway. Police said he was also cited for driving with suspended registration. He is due in court on March 24.

Unlicensed driving

Aaron L. Brown, 24, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop at 10:27 a.m. Feb. 13 in the 10200 block of Southwest Highway. Police said he was also cited for driving without insurance. Brown is due in court on March 29.

Traffic violations

Abdulhameed A. Matari, 23, of Oak Lawn, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Palos Heights for traffic violations following a traffic stop at 9:07 p.m. Feb. 15 in the 10300 block of Southwest Highway. Police said he was released on bond and was due in court on Feb. 16.

Domestic battery

Karen M. Schoonveld, 55, of Chicago Ridge, was charged with domestic battery after police responded to a disturbance in the 11000 block of South Austin Avenue at 10:34 p.m. Feb. 15. Police said an argument with another person became physical and the victim signed complaints of domestic violence. She is due in court on Feb. 16.

OAK LAWN

Gun possession

Preston D. Walker, of Chicago, faces a felony charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon following a traffic stop in the 9200 block of South Cicero Avenue at 8:51 p.m. Feb. 25. The arresting officers had responded to a report of a man identified as Walker who “jumped out of” a Buick and threatened another motorist with a gun. They found a.40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun loaded with 11 bullets in his vehicle. The gun had been reported stolen in Chicago last year. Walker was also charged with possession of ammunition without a license and possession of stolen property. He was due at a pre-trial detainment hearing on Feb. 26.

Unlicensed driving

Angel R. Villalobos Jr., of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop at 11:10 a.m. Feb. 25 in the 8900 block of South Ridgeland Avenue. Police said he was also cited for driving with a suspended license, no insurance and no valid registration. He is due in court on April 19.

Retail theft

Mohammed H. Algholeh and Meranda S. Hermosillo, both of Chicago, were charged with retail theft following an incident at Mariano’s, 11000 S. Cicero Ave., at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 24. Employees said the couple fled the store after Algholeh filled a black backpack with merchandise from the pharmacy and elsewhere, and Hermosillo put items in her coat pockets. They were apprehended in the vicinity of 109^th Street, between Cicero and Keating Avenue, and the stolen merchandise was recovered. Algholel faces a felony charge because the items he took were worth $1,100, and he was due in court on Feb. 26. Hermosillo faces a misdemeanor count for allegedly taking items worth about $230 and is due in court on April 15. She also had an outstanding warrant from DuPage County and police from Hickory Hills took her into custody on another one for possession of methamphetamines.

Michael J. Stasiuk, of Oak Lawn, was charged with retail theft and obstructing identification outside Home Depot, 4060 W. 95^th St., at 4:25 p.m. Feb. 26. Police said store employees stopped him and 14 electrical items worth $360 were found in his jacket. He was also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance for six small bags of heroin found in his change purse. He was due in court on Feb. 29.

Gun possession

Jose Pedraza III, of Lombard, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, a felony, following a traffic stop at 1:26 a.m. Feb. 24, in the 9200 block of South 53^rd Avenue. Police said an unloaded pistol was found in a pocket on the back of the front passenger seat, and 10 rounds of ammunition were on the floor. Pedraza was also cited for driving without headlights, a lane violation, driving without insurance, failure to update the address on his driver’s license, having open alcohol in the car, and possession of cannabis in a car. He was due in court Feb. 26.

Fleeing traffic stop

Juan M. Robles, of Oak Lawn, was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police following a traffic stop at 4:40 a.m. Feb. 28 in the 6700 block of West 95^th Street. Police said Robles had recently fled from another stop and tried to drive away again. But an officer reached into the car and turned the ignition off. He also faces two counts of resisting arrest, driving without headlights, no insurance, and possession of cannabis in a vehicle. His court date is April 12.
