The Panthers came out like they didn’t want to play in a conference match-up against Wilmington on Monday, February 12, and were out-scored 27-16 in the first half by the Wildcats.

Coach Bethany Stritar didn’t say too much at halftime, but she let the Panthers think about the hole they had gotten themselves into. It evidently worked, as the Panthers came out like a new team in the second half.

Maddie Gesky led all scorers with 11 points, while hitting 62 percent of her field goals, in addition to 4 blocked shots. Alyssa Singelton, who was 2-for-4 from 3-point range, and Lila Predeville each finished with 8 points. Prindeville also was 2-for-3 from 3-point range in addition to 3 steals. Sara Schmidt pitched in with 8 points and added 5 offensive and 6 defensive rebounds to her stats.

In the win, the Panthers out-scored the Wildcats 27-24 in the second half, while taking the 43-41 victory.
