Ash Wednesday is February 14, marking the beginning of the Christian season of Lent – a 40-day period of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 511 N. Conrad Street in Peotone, will celebrate Mass with distribution of ashes on February 14 at 7:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. A Liturgy of the Word, with distribution of ashes, will be held at 4 p.m.
On Fridays in Lent, beginning February 16, a Soup and Bread Supper will begin at 6 p.m., followed by Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. All are invited. For additional information, visit StPaulPeotone.org.
