With Tuesday, January 30, being “National Plan For Vacation Day” (seriously, it’s a thing), the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau (CSCVB) launched its interactive destination video for visitors’ vacation and residents’ stay-cation ideas.
The two-and-a-half-minute video displays for visitors, residents, and users’ footage of Chicago Southland amenities, with their corresponding logo and website link synced on the side of the screen.
Whenever a video clip appears of any of the 85 different locations, that venue’s logo is highlighted and enlarged within the side column of links. Users also can scroll through the vertical list of all amenities in descending order of appearance.
“This interactive video helps tourists and residents peruse and visit many of Chicago Southland attractions in one source,” said Jim Garrett, president/CEO of the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The video includes nature centers, art galleries, restaurants, breweries, museums, sports facilities, golf courses, and performing arts centers – to name a few.”
The CSCVB interactive video is available at the bureau’s website, www.visitchicagosouthland.com/#clicktivated. For more information, go to VisitChicagoSouthland.com.
