Christ Community Church, in Peotone, is organizing a group of local men to attend the Focal Point Ministries Iron Sharpens Iron one-day conference on Saturday, March 16, at First Nazarene Church, 12725 Bell Road, Lemont, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The conference is open to all men, including teens. Group registration, through Christ Community Church, is $49 per person, plus $10 for lunch.
The conference includes main sessions with two keynote speakers, including Bishop Larry Jackson, a nationally and internationally known author and speaker, who is passionate about encouraging men to join the front lines of what God is doing.
Danny Lopez also will be a keynote speaker. Lopez is a native of Humboldt Park in Chicago and was immersed in a culture of drugs, alcohol, gang activity, and witchcraft until God’s grace changed the course of his life at the age of 13.
In addition, attendees will enjoy an exhibit area with resources for spiritual growth and also may choose from 16 seminars meant to inspire men to live Godly lives in an ungodly world.
