On Wednesday, December 6, the Peotone Blue Devils girls’ varsity basketball team faced the Watseka Warriors in a home non-conference contest and squeaked away with an important 48-43 victory. The game was close from the beginning, with Peotone getting a big lead, then the Warriors cutting into it.
Watseka pulled close in the third quarter, out-scoring the Blue Devils 19-10 but, in the fourth, Peotone out-scored the Warriors 14-10 and held on for the 48-43 win.
Peotone was led by Madi Schroeder and Addie Graffeo with 22 and 14 points, respectively. On the night, Graffeo nailed the threes, while Schroeder hit the twos.
