3/2/1953 – 11/20/2023

Jeffrey “Jeff” T. Krohn Sr. passed away November 20, 2023, peacefully at home, surrounded by love and his family. Born on March 2, 1953, he was the son of Betty and Harry Krohn.

Jeff, a lifetime resident of Beecher, spent 10 years as a volunteer with the Beecher Fire Department, worked many years for Wehling Well Works, and was a lifetime member of Local 150 Midwest Operating Engineers. He kept himself busy after retirement by working at Crete Ace Hardware.

Jeff also was a guy who could fix anything and had a solution for almost everything. In the summer, you also could find him throwing a line in the water. For the past 50 years, he spent every Fourth of July spinning the wheel and calling numbers in the “BIG SIX” at Fireman’s Park. He loved working and staying busy in a multitude of ways and will be greatly missed by everyone who shared this life with him.

He is survived by his three children, Jeffrey Krohn Jr., Tina (Jeff) Larsen, and Justine (Gillie) Howard; five grandchildren, Taylor (Austin) Johns, Rachel and Lizzie Larsen, and Ty and Maci Howard; mother-in-law, Patricia Burdick; sister, Jaclyn Wilkening; aunt, Jackie Stolzenbach; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki; his mother and father, Betty and Harry; stepfather, Robert Young; father-in-law, Rodney Burdick; and brother-in-law, Ralph Wilkening.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher, with the Memorial Service immediately following at 2 p.m. Burial is at St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery.

Per the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Hack-Jensen Funeral home in Beecher is in charge of arrangements.
