Would you like to get a head start on your Christmas shopping? I suggest stopping by the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture, 6500 S. Pulaski, for their First Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar on Sunday, Nov. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. This event promises to be a great afternoon of holiday fun. There will be homemade crafts for sale plus lovely gift items. In addition, there will be food and entertainment.
The Balzekas Museum is also the location of the next 13th Ward Senior Citizen Club meeting. Ald. Marty Quinn will host this gathering on Friday, Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. Registration is required. The next meeting of the West Lawn Conservation Club will take place at the West Lawn Branch Library, 4020 W. 63rd St., on Monday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The meeting agenda includes information on winter sowing, front yard garden designs, sharing seeds, cataloging, reflecting on 2023 garden successes and plans for 2024 gardens.
