Annual Meeting, Election,”Revisiting Utopia” Documentary Update, 25th Anniversary of Museum
Join the Park Forest Historical Society on Sunday, October 1, at 2:30 p.m. in Ryan Hall, St. Mary’s, 227 Monee Road, for their annual meeting and board member election, along with the program.
The program will feature the documentary film “Revisiting Utopia,” race relations growing up in Park Forest, from 1972-1988. Phil Rockrohr and Brendan Goff will provide project development information and show two six-minute trailers. Journalistic advisor Jean Hodges and producer John Moore also will be in attendance.
Tour the exhibit “It’s Halloween at the Museum,” along with 75th Anniversary of Park Forest displays following the program.

1950s Park Forest House Museum: Twenty-five years and counting! The museum, at 227 Monee Road (inside St. Mary’s), is open Wednesday and Saturday, from 1-3:30 p.m., or by appointment at other times. Docents are excited to show off the museum in its 25th year and tell the story of how Park Forest came to be. Please come out and support us!
