During the Penfield construction project, the library’s Penfield Street parking lot entrance is closed, but its Maxwell Street entrance still will be open. Turn north on Maxwell from Indiana Avenue to get to the library.

WiFi hotspots and Rokus now are available for checkout for two weeks for Beecher Library cardholders, ages 18 and over. Bring a hotspot anywhere to create a WiFi network or check out a Roku with preloaded streaming services to enjoy on your home TV.

A new spider ring take-and-make craft is available October 1. Pick up any time.

September 28 – 29, at 10 a.m., Beecher Bookworm Buddies: Enjoy stories, games, music, and a craft for small children in the meeting room! Call to register.

October 5 – 6, at 10 a.m., A Special Beecher Bookworm Buddies with the Beecher Fire Department! Firefighters are coming to story time to read stories, talk about fire safety, and show children their firetruck.

October 6: Pumpkins will be available for the library’s pumpkin decorating contest. Kids, from birth through high school, can decorate a pumpkin based on a book and potentially win prizes – while supplies last.

Adult Services

September 28, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help: Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.

The Afternoon Book Club selection is available for pickup. The group will be discussing “Twenty-One Days,” by Anne Perry, on Friday, October 13, at 4 p.m.

The Evening Book Discussion selection also is available for pickup and will discuss “Hament,” by Maggie O’Farrell, on Monday, October 23, at 7 p.m.
