Peotone: On Tuesday, September 12, the Peotone Boys’ Golf Team had a conference match against Coal City at Cinder Ridge Golf Course. Coal City won with a tally of 168 to Peotone’s 178. Joe Hasse, from Peotone, was the Medalist carding a 39. The top three remaining scores for Peotone were Jake Eaheart – 43, Michael Bettenhausen – 47, and Mason Early – 49.
On Wednesday, September 13, the Blue Devils’ golf team had a conference match with Wilmington at High Point Golf Course in Essex. Peotone came out on top with a score of 175 to Wilmington’s 192. Medalist was Aaron Burkey of Wilmington, with a score of 40. Peotone’s scores were Joe Hasse – 42, Jake Eaheart – 43, Michael Bettenhausen – 44, and Mason Early – 46.
Beecher: Wednesday, September 13, the Beecher Girls’ Golf Team competed in their conference tournament. The Ladycats came out on top, defeating full teams from St. Anne and Grant Park. The team’s score was 440 and 40 strokes better than the second place team.
Makenzie Krupa earned RVC Player of the Year honors with a 93. Samantha Kain also earned conference honors with a 101. This win bodes well for the team, as the season gets closer to Regional play in two weeks.
