Aleco Julius, former Summit trustee, passes away
Aleco S. Julius, 71, passed away on August 23.
Mr. Julius was a lifelong resident of the Village of Summit, a village trustee for eight years, and was an alumnus of Argo High School’s Class of 1969.
He worked for many years and retired from the Argo-Summit Post Office.
Summit Mayor Sergio Rodriguez told the Desplaines Valley News, “My thoughts are with the family. He was one of a kind. he raised a great family and was always about the community. I, and others, always had a good time when he was around.”
Visitation will be Friday, August 25, from 4-8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 26, at 9 a.m. for prayers. Procession to begin from the funeral home to Saint Joseph Church (Blessed Martyrs Of Chimbote Parish), 7240 W. 57th Street, Summit for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
