In partnership with the Will County Executive and the State of Illinois Commission on Equity and Inclusion, in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, organizers are planning the first in-person BEP Workshop. The free Business Enterprise Program Certification Workshop will be held on Thursday, September 7, from 5 – 6:30 p.m., at Joliet Public Library, 150 N. Ottawa Street in Joliet.
The workshop will provide an overview of the program, including vendor eligibility requirements, benefits of certification, and the process to apply and become certified.
The BEP Program is for minorities, women, and persons with disabilities and is part of the efforts to continue to drive procurement access for these groups of business owners. Being certified is reciprocal and can lead to additional procurement opportunities.
