During the Penfield construction project, the library’s Penfield Street parking lot entrance will be closed, but the Maxwell Street entrance is still open. Turn north on Maxwell from Indiana Avenue to get to the library.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in our summer reading program! Kids read a total of 163,196 minutes, and adults read 623 books! Prize basket winners were: Samson Adkins for zero to five years, Reid Von Alven – six to 11 years, Taylor Killis – 12 to 17 years, and Dolores Dubois – adult.

Tuesday, August 22, from 6:30-8 p.m., Chess Night for all ages: Players should already know how to play chess and are asked to bring a chess set, if they have one. Call to register.

Adult Services

August 17, 22, and 24, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help: Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any of your devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.

August 23, at 7 p.m., Adult Sunflower Wreath craft: Make a sunflower wreath with yellow, green, and brown burlap. Ages 18+, $15 fee. Call to register by Thursday, August 17.

The Evening Book Discussion selection is available for pickup. The group will discuss “Little Fires Everywhere,” by Celeste Ng, on Monday, August 28, at 7 p.m.
