The Workforce Services Division of Will County released its August schedule of events, workshops, job fairs, and Mobile Workforce Center locations.
Job seekers can attend the Lockport Township Job Fair on Tuesday, August 29, from 1-5 p.m., at the Lockport Township Offices, 1463 S Farrell Road, Lockport. Register for the opportunity to meet local employers and apply for available positions online at https://form.jotform.com/232064215543145.
Multiple training workshops will be held at the Workforce Center of Will County throughout August on topics, including Microsoft Office, resume writing, interview tactics, and networking strategies. Also, on Thursday, August 17, from 2-3 p.m., Midland States Bank will present a special workshop on identity theft for Will County residents. The Workforce Center of Will County is in Joliet at 2400 Glenwood Avenue.
Residents also can visit the Workforce Center to pick up a “Job Fair In-A-Bag”, which contains job listings from Will County businesses that are hiring and resources for job searching, including resumes, interviewing, and more.
In addition to next month’s schedule, Workforce Services also is providing career scholarships for in-demand careers, such as healthcare, transportation, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, information technology, and more. Career scholarships are available to Will County residents who meet eligibility guidelines and are interested in training for occupations in demand.
