During the Penfield construction project, the library’s Penfield Street parking lot entrance will be closed, but the Maxwell Street entrance still is open. Patrons are asked to turn north on Maxwell from Indiana Avenue to get to the library.

Summer reading logs are due on or before Monday, July 31. Don’t forget to turn them in and get prizes for reading during the summer!

Roku players with free pre-loaded streaming services now are available for checkout to Beecher patrons ages 18 or over. Apple TV +, Britbox, Disney +, Hulu, Max (HBO), Netflix, and Paramount + are available. Visit beecherlibrary.org/devices for more information.

A new Fourth of July magnet take-and-make craft is available. Pick up any time.

July 20 and 27, at 10 a.m., Summer Storytime in Firemen’s Park, at the band stand: Enjoy stories, games, music, and crafts/activities! Bring a blanket or folding chair to sit on. Call to register.

July 25, at 4 p.m., plus July 26, at 4 and 6 p.m., Homemade ice cream for kids, ages six-plus: Churn up some ice cream in a zip lock bag. Call to register.

July 20, 25, and 27, from 2-5 p.m., One-on-One Technology Help: Sit down for a half hour and receive technology help with any devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops. Receive help with apps, email, Facebook and social media, computer basics, or get any other technology questions answered. Call to register.

July 24, at 7 p.m.: The Evening Book Discussion group will discuss “The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell,” by Robert Dugoni.

August 11: The Afternoon Book Club selection is available for pickup. The group will be discussing “The Lost Apothecary,” by Sarah Penner, on Friday, August 11, at 1 p.m.
