The Monee Police Department is pleased to announce Sgt. Jamal Martin’s recent graduation from the Northwestern University Staff and Command program. This program provides upper-level college instruction, with a vast curriculum of command officer topics. The Northwestern University Center for Public Safety is considered one of the top tier police leadership schools in the nation.
The Monee Police Department anticipates a significant range of benefits from Sgt. Martin’s participation in this program. Many Northwestern graduates go on to achieve a variety of leadership positions within the Law Enforcement Community.
Sgt. Martin is to be commended for his commitment and effort in completing this prestigious training. He also should be recognized for not only excelling for 22 weeks of intense studies, but also for showing up many early mornings and late evenings at the police department to assure his shift was getting all the support and resources needed. MPD is not only proud of his accomplishments, but grateful for his dedication to his profession, his fellow officers, and his community.
