John Gutkowski, 92, of Peotone, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, in Beecher. Born September 26, 1930, in Blue Island, he was the son of Jan and Veronica.
John loved crossword puzzles, his country home, his beloved cats, and especially being a lifelong employee of Commonwealth Edison. He also believed in giving good values to his children on saving money.
John is survived by one son, John (Tess) of Mokena; a daughter, Gayle of Peotone; a granddaughter, Allison. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Bernice Dolinyak.
Services are private, with burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Arrangements are under the direction of Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher.
