The Manteno Woman’s Club hosted Dr. Brenda Affinati as their guest speaker for the Spring Luncheon, held April 26 at Manteno Sportsmen’s Club. Dr. Affinati is the former Brenda Reiter, a Manteno native and daughter of Judy (Reiter) Sandeno.
After graduation from Manteno High School, Dr. Affinati went on to earn her degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. For more than 25 years, she has been a professor at the Chicago Medical School Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine and Science and has been affiliated with various hospitals across northern Illinois.
Local women are encouraged to join the Manteno Woman’s Club, which holds monthly luncheons from September through June. The next regularly scheduled luncheon will be September 27, at Manteno Sportsmen’s Club.
